I’ve been singing since I was eight years old, inspired by legends like Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, and Michael Bublé.
That timeless swing music has always had a special place in my heart, and I’ve spent years pushing myself to perform on different stages, determined to show people that swing is far from dead.
Walking into my audition was one of the most exciting moments of my life. I had no idea how the judges would react to my unique style as swing hasn't had its time on Australian Idol.
But performing there, giving it my all, and waiting for their response's felt like eternity. Then, hearing those three "yes's" was a moment I’ll never forget.
It was a huge confidence boost, knowing that the judges recognized and appreciated what I brought to the table even with a few cheeky remarks from Kyle along the way.
Moving onto the challenges, I’ve been incredibly fortunate to work with some of the most musically talented people I’ve ever met.
The camaraderie among contestants has been incredible. We constantly motivate each other to improve, and it's truly inspiring to be surrounded by people who share the same deep passion for music.
Reaching the live shows feels absolutely surreal, this is where the "Swing King" shines whether it’s my sharp dance moves that get a laugh from Kyle or the vocals that bring a smile to Amy and Marcia.
It’s been a rollercoaster of emotions, but I've enjoyed every moment of it.
